Suspension of Programs at Queen's - Help save the Arts and Languages
In response to the current situation at Queen’s, which puts various language and other small departments in jeopardy, a pacific march will be held to make the voices of the students heard. In doing so, the public will become more aware of the issue.
The march will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 12:00 noon outside of Richardson Hall (on University Ave).
If you are interested in defending your education and maintaining the cultural diversity that Queen’s University offers, please come and help to make a difference. This is a march in support of art, culture, and language, as well as the future of our professors, the student body, and the generations to come.
Please adhere to the following rules and guidelines in order to maintain a peaceful demonstration without any negative consequences:
- Please bring signs and posters that reflect a positive outlook—no insulting or attacking anyone.
- Do not block any entrances or traffic.
- You are encouraged to wear your Departmental clothing!
Thank you for your help and support!
