B176 Mackintosh Corry, Seminar Room
One of the many challenges of being an academic in the twenty-first century is maintaining an appropriate balance among our various responsibilities. What are our professional obligations as they relate to teaching, and how can we meet these obligations effectively in the context of increasingly hectic schedules, numerous deadlines, long hours, and large classes? In this workshop we will discuss our teaching obligations and identify some of the barriers we constantly face in trying to meet them. In addition, we will explore various approaches to overcoming these barriers and achieving effective teaching and professional practice.
This brown bag workshop is co-sponsored by QUFA and the Centre for Teaching and Learning
