QUFA department visits: Know Your CA
October 24th 2008 As part of our "Know your Collective Agreement" educational strategy, we plan to visit departments and faculties across campus. We have asked QUFA Council Representatives to help us in this endeavour. We are doing this to create opportunities for our members to raise any questions and concerns they might have about the new Collective Agreement 2008-2011. We have urged Council Reps to solicit questions from those in their units and pass them along to us in advance of a meeting, if possible, to ensure we address priority concerns. You may also contact us directly. As it is already the end of October, we will do what we can to schedule for this fall term, but realize that most meetings will have to take place later on. We could visit your department/faculty meeting or arrange some other meeting time. As for location, we could come to your area or arrange for a meeting elsewhere, including the QUFA Boardroom, and we are open to holding a meeting with more than one department in attendance if that makes sense to you. Our goal is to educate and time and place are, therefore, flexible. If you have urgent questions which need answering in advance of this meeting, please send them to me or Ramneek Pooni immediately.
