Dear QUFA Members,
This initiative, a workplace stress survey (link below), arose out of priorities identified by participants at an OCUFA workshop in April 2015 on “After Bill 168: Occupational Health and Safety in the Academy.” It is being undertaken jointly by OCUFA, CAUT and Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW). The aim of this project is to provide faculty associations with aggregated information about their institution to help identify and address problems before they become bigger.
The survey should take 15-20 minutes to fill out and it will remain open until at least December 15 this year.
The data are collected by OHCOW, reported in a way to preserve anonymity, and any identifying information collected will follow their confidentiality protocols. They have run this survey a number of times with other unions. Here is the link:
We encourage all of you to participate so we can get the best data possible to help find ways of strengthening protections for our Members. If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to Ramneek Pooni who is sending you this message on behalf of QUFA Grievance and QUFA Health and Safety.
