Town of Widows Film Screening and Panel/Q&A

December 5, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Dear affiliates and allies,

This Thursday December 5th at 6pm, is our local screening Town of Widows, an hour-long documentary about asbestos-related cancers caused by the Peterborough General Electric Plant and the community’s fight for justice from the WSIB system.

I’m so thrilled to announce that the 1-hour screening will be followed at 7pm by a panel/Q&A featuring: Jim Dufresne, a former GE worker and member of the Advisory Committee on Retrospective Exposures who is part of the ongoing struggle to win compensation for workers and their families who were exposed to asbestos; and Eric Depoe, a local WSIB compensation advisor and health and safety educator.

Please share widely, and I hope you can join us.

In Solidarity,
Lesley Jamieson .
